Well, here's all about our youth group........
Generations Santiago! ...... what is this all about!
Well, we have started a church here in Santiago City two years ago. Pastor Mark Ritchie ask me to help him and be incharge for the youth. So i said "Oh! thats great, sure i will", but i got a wee problem, for there are no youth in the church. So i said "well we got no youth, how could lead a youth group" and pastor Mark said, "That's why were here, so go and find them", What a challenge to start with. So i said please lets pray then for even just 5 young people to come, just to start with.
the next day, i organize a basketball competion, and 12 youth turn up. After a month, 32 young men are comming. Out from that group of basketball players, only 12 remain, and become really part of the church. then we called the youth group as "Generations".
We trained them, to play instrument and to lead worship. Now they are the one's playing and leading in the church.
